The apparent casual indifference of some editors [not returning work, offhand rejection etc] has always been there, but is presently confounded by actual ignorance - not stupidity - ignorance. Many of the arbiters of humour these days were toddlers when Punch folded. So they quite literally have no knowledge of the power of humour. And they do not look beyond, to other countries. And their finance managers have the last say. Pray AND keep PCO keeping on.
